Terms of Use
Last updated: 29 June 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Whois app (“the App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and these Terms.
2. What the App does
The App is a client that queries public WHOIS servers and displays the registration records they return. WHOIS data is produced and owned by registries, registrars, and other third parties — not by us. We do not guarantee that any record is accurate, complete, current, or available.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the App to harvest data for spam, marketing, or unlawful purposes;
- perform high-volume, automated, or abusive querying that violates the terms or rate limits of any WHOIS provider;
- use WHOIS results in any way that violates applicable laws (including privacy and anti-spam laws) or the policies of ICANN, registries, or registrars;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or misuse the App except as permitted by law.
4. No warranty
The App and all data it displays are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Your use of WHOIS data is at your own risk and subject to the terms of the providers that supply it.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App or any WHOIS data obtained through it.
6. Changes
We may update the App and these Terms over time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes are reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
